It's a 'cracker' as we say on this side of the pond. I first sent it to Byron Barker to work his mechanical magic so to speak. Jim, really nice to hear from you and hello from a sunny Charente. why add weight when you can add "an engine". and just about perfect for those tail heavy builds. I think the old Enya's are the most forgiving and longest lasting engines ever made. the cool air over the engine is a good thing. finish the breaking in process in the air. One thing that might help is after 30-40 minutes of bench time (with no muffler). I used Dukes Fuel and Fox Super Fuel back in 1970-72 on one 35. You have to have the patience of Job to break in an old Enya. Invest in a Leonard Neumann ' strap on tongue muffler '.Great quality and no weight.Įnyas are worth the time and patience during careful running-in and will last forever if you look after them. Around 9,000 at launch using a 17 % synthetic/5% castor mixed fuel. I now, after testing MANY props, find it prefers a Master 10圆 in the air. I've found the 29IV-B to be a very powerful engine.

I was recently advised, by someone who knows a whole lot more about this than me, to run the 5% nitro 28% castor in the Enya's. Is this a characteristic of Enyas? I was always running 10%nitro 22% 50/50castor/syn. I have had a Evya 29IV-B model 5224 since the mid 1970's and have had periodic shut off problems with that on consecutive stunts. I have the smallest of the 3 venturies and the low comp. fuel, a TopFlite 9圆 prop, rich 2 cycle, on a 42" stunter. I'm running S&W 5% nitro 26%castor/2%syn. Just wondering if anyone has any break in tips besides what I'm doing.

I recently bought a never been run Enya 35III model 5224 on Ebay.
